Mont Ventoux is a veritable myth for many Provence people. It is the highest peak in the area and can be seen from neighbouring départements. From the top, you can see the sea and the Alpes summits. For 18 km, from Bédoin village, you can climbe up (with car or bike too) to 1912 metres, through the whole range of characteristic biological levels. You will go through cedar, black pine and beech trees. You can see deer, hind, chamois, corsican mouflon and wild boar. Mont Ventoux will give you a forestaste of the Alpes, about 50 km away.
